SolarPro Global was founded by a team of electrical engineers who spent their early careers navigating Nigeria's complex energy landscape — a market where grid unreliability has long driven demand for alternative power solutions. What began as a small team installing inverters and generators quickly evolved as we recognised that solar PV, done right, was the definitive long-term answer.
We invested heavily in technical training and certifications, studying IEC standards, attending international solar energy conferences, and building supply relationships with tier-1 module and inverter manufacturers. By 2019, we had commissioned over 100 solar systems and our reputation for technical accuracy had spread beyond Nigeria's borders.
Today, SolarPro Global manages projects from initial enquiry to long-term monitoring across Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and Europe. The African solar market has a significant quality problem — many installers are self-taught and lack formal engineering credentials. Every SolarPro engineer holds internationally recognised PV certifications and undergoes annual competency updates. We never estimate solar resources from memory or generic tables. Every project we design uses site-specific irradiance data from NASA POWER or Solargis satellite datasets. We model each project using PVsyst simulation software that accounts for horizon shading, soiling losses, spectral correction, and module temperature effects. The result is savings projections accurate to within 5%.
